Eye to Eye, the photography exhibition in honour of International Women’s Day featured top 11 women photographers of the country. Organized by Seher for Delhi Commission for Women, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, the exhibition hosted the works of these 11 passionate women photographers each armed with a camera and a unique perspective on the world.
Through their lenses, they cast light upon the diverse experiences of Indian women, capturing moments that spanned the spectrum from the abstract realms of concepts to the unembellished reality of documentation.
The exhibition began with the indelible stills on India’s First Woman Prime Minister Shrimati Indira Gandhi, by the pioneering Homai Vyarawalla. Curated by Kriti Arora and Olivia Arthur, the exhibition witnessed works by visionary women Sonia Jabbar, Sarvesh, Serena Chopra, Renuka Puri, Purnima Rao, Sheba Chhachhi, Anita Khemka, and Pamela Singh.
Curator’’s Note:
“This exhibition celebrating International Women’s Day, not only honoured women but also showcased their stories. “Eye to Eye” was a reminder that every glance through a lens has the potential to shape narratives, redefine perspectives, and most importantly, bridge the gap between one eye and another, between one heart and another. As viewers meandered through the exhibition’s corridors, they were not merely observers; they were participants in a dialogue that transcended frames and borders.”
