DIU Festival

Seher and the Department of Tourism organized a vibrant festival to commemorate Diu and Daman Liberation Day, marking the historic occasion when Daman and Diu gained independence from Portuguese rule.

The three-day festival from December 25–27, 2014 showcased eminent names like Jasbir Jassi, Mir Mukhtiyar Ali, Raghu Dixit, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Meghdhanush. With Diu’s population then numbering only 45,000, it was heartening to see more than 15,000 enthusiastic individuals come together to partake in the festivities, reflecting the community’s deep-rooted pride and solidarity.
