About Our UN Collaborations: A Symphony of Impactful Events

Seher takes pride in orchestrating impactful events in collaboration with the United Nations and its partner agencies. Our journey includes the grandeur of the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of the United Nations in India, featuring the legendary Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma & Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia, who crafted a special raga for peace in October 2005. A commemorative CD, curated by SEHER, was proudly showcased at the United Nations.

In 2007, Seher collaborated with the UN for the ‘Keep the Promise’ concert, celebrating the mid-point of the Millennium Development Goals 2015. The historic Purana Qila monument echoed with the ‘Make a Noise Concert’ in September 2010, where a 100-strong orchestra was curated especially from all over India to raise awareness for the MDGs, drawing in nearly 3,000 spectators.

In a luminous moment in September 2015, Seher proudly presented the ‘Light the Way Concert’ in association with UNDP, as thousands cheered on Hono’ble Prime Minister’s commitment to new Global Goals at the UN General Assembly in New York. These collaborations stand as a testament to Seher’s commitment to global progress and the power of cultural expression in fostering positive change.
